MA Moving Image alumnus representing the voices of Korean contemporary artists

MA Moving Image  alumnus Sangwoo Lee, who was studying with us during the academic year 2016-2017, has been exhibting his master’s project, Nostalgic Irony, in the 4482-2018: Butterfly Effect exhibition at OXO Barge house in London between the 3rd and the 6th of May 2018.

After a four-year hiatus, and in its 11th year running, 4482 (sasapari) proposed a return of its annual exhibition this May 2018 . Over 50 contemporary Korean artists invited the audience to interact with their diverse range of responses on issues around the world today, effectively creating a ‘Butterfly Effect’. By recalibrating its exhibition space into a conversational environment, the exhibition intended to extend beyond the confined, physical gallery into a simulated space to reflect the world around us.
